Ton Festival - 15.07.2012 - 3 p.m.
The members of the Ton Alliance Ahrenshoop, Alt- & Niehagen meet on the third Sunday in July for their yearly highlight.
The acting Ton King and the Pole King get picked up in the morning for a walk with a brass band. After the King's Meal the participating horsemen move on decorated horses through the village, until at 3p.m. the new dignitaries have to be determined at the ton, which they have to smash. The traditional horsemen's ball unites the members of the Ton Alliance and the guests to a cheerful conclusion of the day.
