Fishermen's Regatta in Althagen - 15.09.2012 - from 10 p.m.
Brown sails characterize the scene in the harbour of Althagen and on the Bodden (inland water) of Saal at this weekend. Every year the final regatta of the "Zeesboote", a special kind of boat, takes place at the third weekend of September in the harbour of Althagen.
Almost a hundred years ago the fishermen already organized a regatta with their boats with the unique brown sails (Zeesboote), just for the fun of it, starting from the harbour of Althagen. Taking up this tradition, the regatta of Althagen finalizes more than five regattas on the inland waters of our region.
