Käthe-Miethe-Library
With more than 7.500 books, from local interest to crime, one can find everything to satisfy one's curiosity or to survive rainy days. The local council decided to rename the council library to Käthe-Miete-Library and to rearrange the premises in February 2007.
The community, who owns the building, invested in 2007 about 50.000 € in the extension and rebuilding of the premises. Now there are spacious rooms for about 10.000 media. The renovated attic contains a small room for events like readings. The library was officially reopened on the 16.January 2008. A varied selection of literature on art and artists, local interest, crime, fiction and children's books is available for the approximately 100 regular readers and the many tourists. Using the library is free of charge.
