Free rooms?

A new gallery was opened in Ahrenshoop on 3. June 2006, it's name is derived from the historical building. The old school building in Ahrenshoop was built in 1828, the school was shut in 1974 keeping 'Old School' (Alte Schule) for its name.

The gallery shows artwork from Ahrenshoop Art Auction Limited's store. What was earlier kept in desk drawers as constant offers is now on display and can be bought. The gallery shows a wide range of works from the late 1800s, classical modern and contemporary styles. In this exhibition the gallery has specialised in works by the Ahrenshoop artists' colony and the subsequent generations of artists.
