Beach Hall (Strandhalle)

Strandhalle

The Beach Hall (Strandhalle) provides 200 m² work space for exhibitions and events for groups of painters, other artists and students. It accommodates an etching workshop as well as a guest house and is maintained by the municipality. Changing exhibitions: contemporary art, historic art colony (collection of the patrons and the municipality), concerts, readings

The Beach Hall was opened in 1998 by the municipality as a further place for exhibitions and events. Groups of students, painters and artists may book accommodation at the guest house for reduced prices before and after the season proper. Changing exhibitions present works by contemporary artists and painters of the initial art colony. The main focus on events occupy concerts and readings. Seasons' highlights are the 35. Art Auction on the 1. August 2009 and the traditional summer concert with the pianist Peter Rösel.
