Art Houses
When the painter Paul Müller-Kaempff discovered Ahrenshoop in 1889 for the first time and settled down here with numerous fellow painters three years later, he laid the foundation for today's artists' place. The opening of the Art Cottage (Kunstkaten) in 1909 meant a possibility for the artists to show their works in public and to offer them for sale to the visitors. Today exist eight galleries and exhibition spaces in Ahrenshoop, which present classic and modern art of all genres.
